Anna Christine Eichholz was born in Wolfsburg, Germany in 1980.She started learning the violin at the age of 6 with her father Hans W. Eichholz and at the age of 14 she began to learn with Knut Hartmann at the Staedtische Musikschule in Braunschweig. She started her studies in 2001 at the University of the Arts in Berlin with Prof. Axel Gerhardt, during which an exchange program lead her, for the first time, to the Royal

College of Music in 2003 where she studied with Maureen Smith for 6 months. After her diploma at the UdK in Berlin in 2005 she returned to the RCM for postgraduate studies, again to learn with Maureen Smith. Since summer 2006 she is back in Berlin to complete the second part of her postgraduate diploma with Prof. Axel Gerhardt at the UdK.

Anna is very interested in contemporary and 20th century music and regularly performs in a concert series of contemporary music in Wolfsburg and in several concert venues in Berlin. In February 2006 was pleased to be able to work with Jane Manning for a performance of Pierrot Lunaire by Schoenberg at the RCM.
