The Quartet |

The Shilladay Quartet was formed in November 2005. Its members currently study or have recently graduated from The Royal College of Music in London. Dan Shilladay studied music at the Universities of Birmingham and York, before taking a place at the RCM to study with Susie Meszaros and Annette Isserlis. Anna Eichholz studied at the UdK in Berlin for five years with Professor Axel Gerhardt and has now completed her postgraduate studies at the RCM with Maureen Smith. After studying at Chetham's School of Music and the Purcell school, Alice Dixon studied under Alexander Boyarsky and Leonid Gorokhov at the RCM. Elana Eisen attended Trinity College junior department before she started learning with Yossi Zivoni at the RCM. |

The Shilladay Quartet has so far recieved tuition from Suzie Meszaros and perfomed in masterclasses with Levon Chilingirian, Catherine Mackintosh and Colin Lawson. During the Summer of 2006 the Quartet gained bursaries to the Chilingirian String Quartet Masterclasses held at West Dean College. Their recent performances took place in St. Peter's de Beauvoir, The National Gallery, The Royal College of Music, The Victoria and Albert Museum and West Dean House. The Quartet look forward to future performances in Wolfsburg and Braunschweig, Germany, which will include a new string quartet by Maxim Bendall and the 'Three Pieces for String Quartet' by Stravinsky. In summer 2007 the Shilladay Quartet is will premiere Hans Eichholz's string quartet at Wolfsburg contemporary music concert. |
