Elana Eisen was born in 1984 and started playing the violin at the age of nine. Only a year later she won an exhibition place to study at Trinity College of Music Junior department where she learnt with Diana Cummings. During her time there, Elana progressed to leading the symphony orchestra and a prominent string quartet.

Elana made her concerto debut playing the Dvorak romance for violin and orchestra. The following year she performed the Saint-Saens Violin Concerto No 3 at St John’s Smith Square, London. She has given concerts in venues including The Wigmore Hall, St James’s Palace and The Royal Festival Hall and has toured extensively in Europe and most recently China as an orchestral player.

Elana has appeared in master classes as a soloist and chamber musician with Sophie Langdon, Robert Cohen and the Fitzwilliam, Wihan and Chillingirian quartets.

While at the Royal College of Music studying with acclaimed professor Yossi Zivoni, Elana has given recitals with duo partner Christopher Stokes for music societies in and around London and the Home Counties. She has recently been selected to perform under conductors including Sir Roger Norrington and Bernard Haitink. Elana is also studying the baroque violin with Adrian Butterfield.
