Dan Shilladay studied music at the universities of Birmingham and York before spending a year at the Royal College of Music, where his teachers were Susie Mészáros and Annette Isserlis. He has performed in the Cheltenham and York Music festivals, and in 2005 was one of twenty one students selected to perform with the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment as part of its annual OAE/Jerwood Experience student placement programme.
